I intended to post before Christmas but the time got away from me. We had a wonderful Christmas with my mom and dad here from the 21-24. The kids loved having Grandma and Grandpa here for a few days. That meant they got to open gifts 3 days in a row, 4 days for Molly as her Birthday was the 26th. It was so nice to stay home this year and have the low key Christmas day to ourselves. It seems there is more time to reflect on why we do all this hoopla when your not rushing to and from others homes. Some years I feel like I'm ready to skip the whole stressful event and then years like this I just love it all. I know full well that most the world does not worship the Christ at Christmas, but I don't see the need for that to steal my joy in the season. True, God never commanded us to make His sons birth a "holiday" but I don't believe he would deny us the fun in celebrating it any more than He would dislike the 4th of July or Labor Day. What ever you do, do it as unto the Lord. Right? Enjoy the gift of a savior! Merry Christmas.
